Our Values

  • No Interruptions

We believe that online learning is no replacement for face to face learning. We will always teach in person - never online.

  • Personal Attention

Students benefit from asking lots of questions. Small class sizes means students get the attention they need.

  • Pro Human

We present a world view of shared humanity and do not teach or employ principles of Critical Social Justice Theory.

  • Anti-Fragile

We believe that facing difficulties and reasonable risks helps teens become more resilient, independent, and self-confident.

Education Outside the Box

Academics and the arts are balanced with physical activity, work experience, wilderness trips and a healthy social life.

We integrate the curriculum of the Ontario Ministry of Education with our unique program of exploration of a diverse array of subjects that may include but are not limited to:

  • farming and sustainability

  • gourmet cooking

  • canoe and portage

  • circus arts

  • woodworking

  • welding

  • mentorship with local professional artisans

We believe that providing embodied learning experiences, engaging the body and the senses develops clear thinking, active participation and a feeling of moral responsibility.

“Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives. The need for imagination, a sense of truth, and a feeling of responsibility—these three forces are the very nerve of education.”

- Rudolf Steiner

Education towards freedom through nurturing mind, body & spirit.
